Business outcome

A web and mobile application to engage community stakeholders in assessing park amenities and promoting youth involvement in community activities.

Community Park Audit Tool

As part of Participatory action research (PAR) approach, a web & mobile application (eCPAT), was developed as a tool to enable diverse community stakeholders to audit local parks for their potential to promote physical activity. The app lets a user capture amenities available inside the park in text and also express their perspectives, thus increasing community awareness. The tool aims to promote positive youth development via increased engagement in socioeconomic, public, and political community processes so that youth may be seen as valued community resources.
